Half-Day Insight Seminar Explores Caravaggio and Music, Feb. 2

On Saturday, February 2, Marc Vanscheeuwijck, associate professor of musicology at the UO, will offer a half-day seminar on Caravaggio and the meaning of music in early 17th-century art. The seminar runs from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. in Knight Library’s Browsing Room with a fee of $45. Registration is required. Visit this link to register.

UO Insight Seminars, a program offered by the UO Libraries, were established in 2003 to provide an opportunity for the general public to re-engage with the liberal arts and experience the intellectual fulfillment that is the hallmark of a university education. They are led by UO faculty who are expert in the topics, who provide formal study guides and lead college-level discussion of the materials for ten hours of class time. For a complete list and description of Insight Seminars on tap for the 2012-13 academic year, visit https://library.uoregon.edu/node/3066.
