Knight Library to Host Oregon Undergraduate Research Journal Publication Party on Nov. 8

A publication party to celebrate the release of OUR Journal's third issue will take place on Thursday, November 8, at 4 p.m., in the Knight Library Browsing Room. The event is open to UO faculty, staff, and students and will feature previews of the new issue. Attendees will be able to meet editors and authors, as well as learn about the submission and publication process.

The Oregon Undergraduate Research Journal (OUR Journal) is an open access undergraduate research journal at the University of Oregon. It showcases some of the best research and publications by UO undergraduate students.

The journal is now accepting applications to join the student editorial board. Applications are due Friday, November 16. Members of the editorial board are involved in every step of the publication process, from peer review to copy editing and layout design. Another opportunity for undergraduate students to be involved in OUR Journal is by submitting work to be published in the spring 2013 issue. For submission guidelines, please visit: http://journals.oregondigital.org/OURJ/about/submissions. Submissions are due online on Friday, February 8, 2013. Authors who submit projects to OUR Journal work closely with student editors and receive extensive feedback through anonymous peer review. OUR Journal is a great way to learn about the academic publishing experience.
