About the DeArmond Makerspace

The DeArmond Makerspace at the UO’s Allan Price Science Commons and Research Library is a versatile workshop designed for UO students, faculty, and staff. It provides access to various tools and equipment, such as laser cutters and industrial sewing machines, with some requiring training or prior appointment. First-time users must complete a safety waiver to ensure a secure working environment. The space is designed for self-guided projects, with assistance from staff for tool usage and safety guidance, though users are responsible for their own design work.
