Subject-Based Research Awards
Our subject-based fellowships are open to everyone, and offer the opportunity to work on some of our most significant collections. Researchers working in the realms of feminist science fiction, LGBTQ+, Ken Kesey and the 1960s counter-culture and conservative and libertarian movements are encouraged to apply.

General Research Award
Our general research awards support research, teaching, and creative work that engages with SCUA’s unique primary source collections. Open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and instructors, and community researchers, we welcome applicants from all disciplines and backgrounds, including those new to archival research. Fellows receive dedicated access to collections and support from library staff to pursue projects ranging from scholarly publications and course development to creative and public-facing work. The program aims to expand access to the archives and rare book collections, encourage diverse perspectives, and foster meaningful engagement with primary sources.
