- Kansas Geological Survey - Site includes the Data Access and Support Center (DASC) Data Catalog which includes a database catalog for DEM, DLG, TIGER and other GIS data sets for a wide variety of themes. Online data request forms are available. MrSID compressed orthophotos.
Kentucky:
- Kentucky Geological Survey - The Kentucky Geological Survey has some electronic maps (GIS coverages) and DOQs that are available by FTP downloading. The files are ArcView shapefiles (registered by ESRI). The files were zipped using the WinZip utility. All the datasets, unless explicitly noted, are in latitude and longitude, decimal degrees, NAD83.
- Kentucky Office of GIS - State GIS server with downloadable DRGs, DEMs and other thematic information.
Louisiana:
- Atlas: Louisiana Statewide GIS - Users can display and download a variety of data types and formats. However, the server is not very reliable and is often down for long periods of time.
- Louisiana Geographic Information Center - LAGIC was established by the Louisiana GIS Council (LGISC) and the Louisiana Database Commission(LDBC) to facilitate the distribution of geographic information, provide technical assistance, and support GIS data development among state, federal, and local government

- Massachusetts Labor Market Information and Data Collection Programs - Site does not contain GIS shape or .e00 files, but includes a large amount of tabular data specific to labor in Massachusetts.
- MIT Digital Orthophoto Browser - Features orthophotos of the Boston metro area. Files can be downloaded with GIS headers for easy importation into ArcView and MapInfo.
Michigan:
- Michigan Geographic Data Library - The Michigan Geographic Data Library (MGDL) focuses primarily on Michigan data and is the State's geographic data provider website; it houses and serves data for the State of Michigan, the Great Lakes region (includes other adjacent states). Data originally accessed through the state Department of Natural Resources & Environment (MDNRE) is now served through the MGDL, managed by the Michigan Department of Information Technology (MDIT). The MDNRE still serves a wide variety of aerial photography (www.michigan.gov/dnr then select "Publications, ..." then the "Aerial Imagery" offerings), along with the Michigan Aerial Imagery Archives at Michigan State University.
Minnesota:
- Minnesota Land Management Information Center - Summarized statistical data available in 20 different databases. Boundary files and DOQs.
- Minnesota Legislative GIS Office - Links to Minnesota information only.
- ForNet - Program developed by Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and NASA, this innovative site provides a means for viewing various statewide data sets for Minnesota. This site also provides an interactive map browser that allows one to view data from the DNR Forestry database.

Mississippi:
- Mississippi Automated Resource Information System (MARIS) - Information on data available for order.
- Mississippi Geospatial Clearinghouse - Enables users to view and download GIS data and maps.
Missouri:
- Missouri Spatial Data Information Service - Downloadable data. Information may be accessed by region. In ARC/INFO export format. MrSID DOQs.
Montana:
- EPA Region 8 GIS Data
- GIS data sets - A huge array of administrative districts, land boundaries, educational, park, electoral divisions, mines, landfills, energy sites, and water stations.
- Montana Natural Resource Information System - From the Montana State Library. Provides access to GIFS, ARC/INFO export files, and documentation for numerous thematic coverages. Spatial freeWAIS search engine allows user to conduct queries for spatial data sets using keyword and coordinate inputs.
- USGS Water Resources of Montana - This site is primarily a source for real time and historic stream data.
Nebraska:
- Center for Advanced Land Management Information Technologies - The UNL Affiliated Research Center is a NASA sponsored program to enhance and enable commercial applications of geospatial technologies including remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems, and the Global Positioning System. The site is currently maintained by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

- Nebraska Natural Resources Commission, GIS Data Library - Form-based queries using scrollable lists allow the user to search for available data sets.
- Nebraska Geospatial Data Clearinghouse - A searchable catalog of information about available, spatially-referenced data covering geographic areas of Nebraska.
