Finding Books

UO WorldCat offers a streamlined interface in searching for books. It combines, into a single merged list, the collections of the UO Libraries, Summit libraries, and hundreds of other libraries worldwide.

To evaluate your books, use the Critical Evaluation of Information Sources guide.

Tips:

• Your UO WorldCat list of results may contain materials in many formats. In the left hand column, in the Format section, click on Books to limit your results.
• In your list of results, entries for items owned by the UO Libraries appear at the top of the list. Click on the title to see information about location and availability. A Cite/Export link will also show you a citation for the book in MLA style.

Finding Information on Authors and Periodicals will help you in writing your source analysis. It will give suggestions for locating biographical information on authors.
