Printing and Scanning in Knight Library
Printing: General Information
You'll find printers in several locations in Knight Library. Here is some information about printing in UO Libraries.
Print from Microfilm and Microfiche
In the Microforms area of Knight Library users will find equipment for scanning and printing content on microfilm and microfiche. Information on using these scanners can be found on our page on Microforms Services.
You will find two book scanners in the copier area (Room 123) on the first floor of Knight Library and one on the third floor near the entrance to the Audio & Video Room. These scanners offer scanning in a variety of formats, including book, single page, and cropped. They're capable of color, grayscale, or black-and-white scans in a variety of file formats, including JPEG, PDF, and TIFF. After scanning is complete, you can save the files directly to a USB drive or send them as an e-mail attachment (25 MB email limit).
Some academic workstations also have no-cost scanning.
