DOCUMENTS INTEREST GROUP OF OREGON BY-LAWS *

18.0 ARTICLE I NAME
18.01 The name of this organization shall be the Documents
Interest Group of Oregon (DIGOr) operating as a round table of the Oregon
Library Association (OLA).
18.1 ARTICLE II OBJECTIVES
18.11 The objectives of DIGOr are to provide opportunities
for communication, education and cooperation among the government information
library community, and to improve access to government information by
all.
18.2 ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP AND DUES
18.21 All OLA members interested in the use of, or access
to, governmental information are eligible for membership in DIGOr.
18.22 Each member shall be entitled to one vote.
18.23 Each member shall pay $5.00 per year.
18.3 ARTICLE IV OFFICERS & GOVERNANCE
18.31 The officers of this organization shall be a Chairperson,
a Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson-elect, a Secretary/Treasurer and an Immediate
Past Chairperson. These officers shall constitute the Officers' Council.
18.32 Officers shall serve one-year terms, beginning September
1.
18.33 Elections shall be held at the annual business meeting.
The Nominating Committee appointed by the Officers' Council will select
the slate of candidates. Write-in votes wil be permitted.
18.34 Standing or special committees may be established
by the Officers' Council or the membership as appropriate.
18.35 The Officers' Council may appoint a newsletter editor.
18.4 ARTICLE V MEETINGS
18.41 The DIGOr year shall correspond to the OLA fiscal
year.
18.42 The annual business meeting shall be held at the
annual conference of OLA.
