Help with Artstor Visual Resources Collection

Artstor Help

Artstor can be accessed from the Photographs, Images, Maps page off the UO Libraries home page, from the Visual Resources Collection pages or from the Art & Architecture Images page.

Artstor can be used from any computer on the UO network. However if you wish to use Artstor from home you will need to first register from a campus computer. Once registered you can:

  • Access Artstor online from anywhere for up to 120 days

  • Save images to Image Groups for later reference

  • Users with Instructor Privileges can create a Personal Collection. To obtain Instructor Privileges, please download the Personal Collections Permission form and return it to Julia Simic, Visual Resources Librarianm Lawrence Hall 300.

Artstor's Offline Image Viewer (OIV)

The Artstor OIV is the presentation software developed specifically to work with Artstor. It is a separate piece of software and can be downloaded from here. Advantages to using the OIV include:

  • Easily download saved Image Groups directly into the software

  • Easily integrate your personal content with Artstor's

  • Use high-resolution, zoom-able images in presentations
