Instruction and Outreach

Digital Library Services collaborates on several projects with other departments within the library including:

In addition to these internal collaborations, Digital Library Services works with other institutions and academic libraries to provide access to materials that enhance our digital collection and provide mutual benefit to all participating institutions. Some of these projects include:

  • The Oregon Digital Newspaper Program (ODNP)

is an initiative, developed in collaboration with the National Endowment for the

Humanities, Oregon State Library, Oregon Heritage Commission, and Oregon

Newspaper Publishers Association, to digitize historic Oregon newspaper content.  This digital record of Oregon's history is then made freely available to historians, genealogists, and the general public through Historic Oregon Newspapers, a keyword-searchable online database. Further information regarding the project is available at the ODNP Blog.

  • The Oregon Maps collection provides a selection of maps from the Oregon State University and

    University of Oregon libraries' collections.

  • Partnering with the Oregon Arts Commission, Digital Library Services has created a digital collection of images and documents from the Oregon Percent for Art project
