Check
Fail This check works by trying to download an image through the specified port.  Port 80 is the standard web (http) port.

Java
Check
No Java Support.
If you see nothing to the left (or just a gray box) then Java functionality is not available.
The version of Java that Blackboard currently supports is 1.6.0_x (PC) or 1.5.0_x (Mac).  Older versions may work, but if you're experiencing problems with Blackboard, you should update your Java Plug-in (click "Free Java Download"). Note that the test at the left may give incorrect results in the Safari web browser, which in some cases has a working Java even though the test displays only a grey box. Hide additional information.

PDF
Check
If you see "your browser can display PDF" in the box to the left, then your browser can display PDF in a subwindow.
If you see a message about missing plugins, then you probably need to install (for PCs) the Adobe Reader application and plugin, or (for Macs) the PDF Browser Plugin. You may still be able to display PDF files in new windows: Click here to test, then use your browser Back button to return to this page. Hide additional information.
