Manages the activities of electronic resources licensing, working with Acquisitions, the Electronic Resources Team, Purchasing and Contracting Services, Innovation Partnership Services, General Counsel and the Business Affairs Office as needed. Develops, implements and maintains licensing information in Alma in coordination with Electronic Resources Team and the Law Library. Administers access to, compiles reports of, and disseminates usage statistics for electronic resources. Communicates daily with other staff, consortial partners, and external service providers to troubleshoot problems and provide optimal access to electronic formats at the UO. Coordinates product trials for the UO Libraries. Serves as library contact for vendor/publisher representatives; organizes meetings as needed.

Damon Campbell
Acquisitions Librarian and Team Leader

Provides leadership and expertise in all aspects of the acquisition and receipt of library resources.  Shapes acquisition models and creates workflows to efficiently acquire library resources.  Coordinates and monitors the activities of the monographic acquisitions section including selecting vendors and tracking their performance, invoicing purchases, receiving library materials and claiming materials not received.  Participates in the creation and management of the collections budget.  Provides training and supervision for monographic acquisitions staff and facilitates communication with extended library colleagues such as serials and subject specialists.  Contributes to the advancement of the Libraries’ mission through service on local and national committees.

Assists in allocation of the budget for acquiring new library materials to the various subject areas collected by the UO Libraries.  Administers the Popular Reading Collection program and manages receipts, returns, and the resolution of problems.
