What We Do

• Create original and modify existing MARC bibliographic records for materials in any format, for any collection, with special emphasis in Chinese and Japanese materials, including monographs, serials, videotapes and other non-book formats.
• Check in Chinese and Japanese periodicals.
• Perform retrospective conversion.
• Assist technical and public service units in the library.
• Serve patrons with special needs in finding Chinese and Japanese language materials.
• In consultation with Department Head, plan and implement special projects to provide bibliographic access to library and campus information resources
• Create Encoded Archival Description (EAD) finding aids for manuscript and archival collections
