Interlibrary Loan Policies and Form for Use By Other Libraries

Information for Borrowing Libraries

The University of Oregon Libraries Interlibrary Loan unit accepts requests via OCLC.  If your library does not participate in OCLC Resource Sharing you may create an institutional account and place a borrowing request using our online request form.

Lending Fee:

  • Articles: Free to Oregon academic and public libraries and to those with whom we have formal reciprocal agreements; all others: $15 IFM or 1.5 IFLA vouchers
  • Loans (US): Free to libraries that do not charge the UO; others: $15 IFM or 1.5 IFLA vouchers
  • Loans (International): $30 IFM or 3 IFLA vouchers 
  • RUSH processing fee: $25.00
  • Invoicing: $30.00 in addition to any photocopy, loan or RUSH processing charges 

Books, Dissertations and Master's Theses:

  • Loan period: 8 weeks with no renewal

DVDs and CDs:

  • Loan period: 3 days with no renewal


  • Loan period: 3 weeks with one 3-week renewal
